While our signature Green Energy Ohio Tour has been canceled this year to protect the health and safety of our Tour hosts and visitors, there is still reason to celebrate! As the Ohio Chapter of ASES, Green Energy Ohio invites you to participate in the ASES Virtual National Solar Tour!
We have teamed up with Generation180 to celebrate the vital role schools play in creating a brighter future for everyone. Generation 180 is organizing virtual solar school open houses as part of the National Solar Tour experience. We want everyone to see how many Ohio schools embrace solar, and at the same time, inspire and educate others about the benefits of going solar!
Whether you’re a school with an onsite solar installation or simply curious about learning more, we invite you to join us for this year’s National Solar Tour—the largest grassroots renewable energy event in the nation! There are two ways you can participate—as a host or as an attendee.
ATTEND VIRTUAL EVENTS
The National Solar Tour’s virtual solar experience (Sept. 28–Oct. 4) is open to the public and free to attend! Join Generation180 on October 1st for a special Solar for Schools day.
In addition to checking out virtual open houses, you can join live virtual events all week. During these events, you will have a chance to connect with solar owners, ask questions, and learn about the benefits solar is bringing to schools, homes, and businesses!
SHOWCASE YOUR SCHOOL
We invite all solar schools to sign up to host a virtual solar school open house on the interactive National Solar Tour website. By participating, your school can showcase its clean energy leadership and help educate and inspire others to flip the switch to solar.

HOST A VIRTUAL OPEN HOUSE
Got solar? Sign up to host a solar open house! Solar homes, businesses, non-profit organizations, religious institutions, municipal buildings, schools and community solar gardens are all invited to host open houses on the Tour.
Solar owners will have a chance to share their stories with supporters across the country. Create your own virtual solar tour by clicking the image above. If you’re not ready to create your tour just yet, sign up to stay in touch!
