Green Energy Ohio is pleased to co-host a webinar focused on air quality monitoring in Ohio.
In December, Green Energy Ohio hosted a conversation on Climate Change and Public Health. One of our expert panelists was Tracy Sabetta from Moms Clean Air Force, and she subsequently asked us to be part of a webinar they were planning. The intent was to bring together the four Ohio programs who received funding from U.S. EPA to monitor air quality. GEO signed on right away!
Representatives of the Cleveland Department of Public Health, Groundwork Ohio River Valley, the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, and Canton City Public Health will share their work in this critically important area. The Ohio programs are four of 132 projects around the country funded by U.S. EPA to conduct ambient air monitoring of pollutants with environmental and health outcome disparities stemming from pollution and the COVID 19 pandemic.
Knowing what’s in our air is the necessary first step to cleaning it and preventing further pollution. These projects are on the front lines of the clean air campaign.
