Green Energy Ohio is focusing on the development of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) to smarten our electric grid, improve the reliability and resilience of our energy systems, and to help protect us from the effects of manmade and natural disasters.
DERs range from smart thermostats to microgrids to front of the meter storage systems all lower than 50 megawatts in scale.
In Ohio the energy sector closest to residents, businesses and visitors alike is the power and energy on or next to their homes and businesses. These electrical systems are across the grid and typically "behind the meter" meaning they are part of or on existing facilities, buildings, and parking lots.
DERs are our Focus
The fastest, most affordable way to add capacity and improve our electric grid is through the growth of DERs in Ohio!
