2020 Annual Report

At Green Energy Ohio, we celebrated our 20th Anniversary, and I completed my third year as Executive Director.

For all of us, it was a year like no other, full of uncertainties and upheaval. I am proud to state that through it all, GEO became a stronger, more flexible organization, able to continue our important work under challenging circumstances. Green Energy Ohio’s success was truly a group effort led by the Board of Directors and supported by our business and individual members, donors and supporters, and partners and program participants. In reflecting on the year, I found that four words came to mind: Growth, Creativity, Activity, and Focus. Even without being able to meet in person for most of the year, GEO remained active. We were creative in developing new programs. We continued to grow in members and supporters. And we focused even more directly on our mission. We have designed this report with those four characteristics in mind, to give you a sense of who we are, what we do, and where we stand. As you read this report, you will become familiar with the people we represent, with programs that educate and entertain, and with policies for which we advocate. Making those selections and condensing this year into a single document was a difficult task, and there is much more that could be said. For that, I encourage you to visit our website, follow us on social media, and sign up for our newsletter. GEO’s journey over the last two decades has been guided by the commitment to a clean energy future, and I am honored to continue the pursuit of that commitment in 2021.
